Tips For Work At Home Parents - Time Managment

If you are a new work at home parent balancing work, kids and everything else can be a struggle. Here are some tips for work at home parents that might make the day go a little easier.

I have been working at home for some time and while there are great advantages to it there are also struggles that you go through from time to time. I thought when my kids were younger it will get so much easier as they get older. I can send them off to school and work away. That is not always the case for work at home parents. Now that I have sent them both off to school they seem to have more and more things that need to be done. My goal is spending great time with them, but sometimes that can be a struggle. Activities, homework and just regular items on my to do list around the house can seem intimidating at times. Then I add in the tasks I want to get done each day and sometimes they just don't get done. That's why it's so important to have a system. Here are a couple of tips that I have learned along the way to balance things out.

Keeping a daily checklist along with a notebook with special tasks for each day will not only keep your day organized but will help you to be sure that your most important tasks are complete.

Prioritize your checklist. What is most important?

Always write down 4-5 items right before bed or when your work day is coming to an end. That way if you are not focused when you start the next day you have your items right there to get you started. Then you are less likely to stray to messing around on the internet or checking emails you really don't need.

Track you list- Is something carrying over day after day on your list? If it is find out why..is it really that important? Do you need to do it? Or are you intimidated by the task? Figure out the problem and either get it done or remove it from the list.

These are just a few small tips and while not everyone is a work at home parent everyone that is running a home business has their own set of items that can take away from their tasks for the day and get them off track. Find out what you can get rid of in your day that just isn't necessary. For myself the most important goal is definitely getting my tasks accomplished each day but more importantly spending quality time with my kids. That's why we do this right?

There are so many different network marketing or Multi Level Marketing companies operating on the Internet today. Sometimes it can be hard to know whether or not you are the company you are looking into is a reputable company or if they are someone trying to scam others. It becomes harder and harder with all the new companies being added virtually every day. Here are some tips to make sure you are not taken advantage of.

The first thing you need to look for is when you initially talk to an Internet marketer make sure you are talking to a person. The world of email and auto responders are great. They can assist you in so many ways when building a business in the Internet world, but never discount the value of human contact. Be sure that if you are not actually called by your potential mentor that you call them. Make sure they are really there, that it's really the person they say they are. The way that someone carries themselves on the phone with you can determine so much about how much you are willing to trust that person as your potential mentor. If that potential mentor does everything to avoid human contact chances are they are not going to be a good mentor for you.

The second thing you need to look for is ensure you mentor, or the Network Marketing company they are with has an actual physical address. Is it a P.O. Box? If it is then why? Do they have an address for the corporate headquarters? After all you may pick a great mentor but the company you are with is the company sending you your check, you really want to make sure they are an actual company. Do a little of your own research. Are they a new company? Have they been in business for some time and have an established record? Now the Internet itself can be a great tool but often misleading. Check your information with the BBB(Better Business Bureau). Make sure they have testimonials from other distributors other than your potential mentor.

The last thing you will want to look for is do some research in the Internet community. If this network marketing company has been around for some time chances are they have done business with a lot of people and have a good or a bad reputation. No matter what any mentor tells you there is no product in the world no matter how good it is that sells itself. Make sure there is a sales plan set up through this company or even through your potential mentor that you can actually see potential results through. The best way to check those results out and is check the Internet community. Chances are there are some pretty dedicated customers or distributors out there on the Internet that are singing it's praises.

Some of these tips may seem to be common sense, but sometimes potential business owners get so excited and about a new business venture and another source of potential income and simply forget some of the common sense things that we already know. There are many great perks in this day and age that come along with multi level marketing compared to the ways that other generations before us had to build their business. In the Internet age you can now work your multi level marketing business from the comfort of your own home. There are, however, some things you need to consider in the Internet multi level marketing world.

Does this person have an established online presence? Finding a mentor, a person who is available for instruction, continuing education and support is the most vital of all of the components in learning MLM basics. This mentor can guide you through these points as well as many others. Just be sure you do your homework when looking.

The reality is, if you take the advice given to you here, do your research and head into your Multi Level Marketing business with both eyes wide open, you are well on your way to earning a reliable secondary source of income. Are You Using A Sharp or Dull Axe In Your Network Marketing Business?

Imagine walking up to a man trying to chop down a tree in the forest. He's struggling with all his might and yet he's barely made any progress.

You look at him and you see that he is chopping at the tree vigorously and he's been at it for quite some time and he's intent on getting the tree to down.

He has a single focus and is using all the proper leverage and perfect technique, but as you get close you see there is one thing out of place.

He's using a dull blade.

You say to the man . . .

"Hey buddy why don't you just sharpen your blade, you'll get the job done twice as fast?

"He replies . . .

"No time, can't you see I'm trying to chop down this tree?

"Well, when I first started network marketing I was this guy out in the prospecting forest trying to chop down my tree of successfully building a downline.

I hacked at it. I tried all the techniques I was told were proper and I was intent on using them with all my might until my goal was reached.

Unfortunately, the guy in our example above had one advantage over me.

The sad truth is . . .If someone had done this for me I probably would have given them the same response that our man with the axe above gave.I would have said . . .

"Can't you see I'm trying to make cold calls and build a downline?

I don't have time for that!"

While in the act and exerting all our energy to a task we give very little time to reflection on what may truly help us be more successful. We think that if we just keep hacking away that sooner or later we will be successful in achieving our end.

Hype or Offering Value - How Should You Build Your Network Marketing Opportunity?

MLM is famous for over-promising and under-delivering. One thing's for sure: there is a lot of hype in Network Marketing.

Unfortunately, all the hype out there creates false hope and expectations, which contribute to the negative image many people have of the network marketing and home based business industry.

If you are new to Network Marketing (or even if you've been in the industry for awhile), you may be tempted to contribute to all the hype out there. After all, if other people are doing it, it must work, right? It may work sometimes, usually in the short term, but something that will work far more effectively is adding true value to prospects.

People who attract customers and business partners with hype generally don't attract people who stay very long. On the other hand, Network Marketers who attract people by providing valuable information, no strings attached, are likely to attract higher quality prospects and customers. Higher quality prospects and customers will inevitably lead to a more successful business.

Here are a few tips to help you make sure you're adding value to the Network Marketing industry rather than flooding it with hype.

Put Yourself in Your Prospect's Shoes. If you were the prospect, what would you think about the presentation you are giving, the ad you are placing, or the forum post or article you are writing? Would it sound like a sales pitch to you? If so, go back to the drawing board. Find a way to present your information without giving a sales pitch. You'll be surprised at the results you get when people don't feel like your only motive is to get them to buy something from you!

Have Integrity. If you value your integrity, you will be adding value instead of hype. You will conduct business in an ethical and honest way. Always remember that no sale or new business partner is worth ruining your reputation. People appreciate honesty, and when you show you are a person of integrity, people will want to do business with you.

Teach Others. Many people enter the Network Marketing arena with no background in business or marketing. When they see what other people are doing, they naturally join in. They don't know any other way. When you teach others a better way--that they will be more successful in Network Marketing when they add value rather than hype, they will follow suit.

Network Marketing Recruiting - How Can I Get Better At Doing This?

When it comes to the process network marketing recruiting many people give up on the first, second or third try and just end up thinking is way too hard for them to do.
These people are your perfect example of quitters, those who just give up at something and make up excuses saying it was just too hard. Those people blame everyone else but themselves and is very obvious why they are not successful.

Probably not just in network marketing either!

If you are one of these people then you better start dedicating yourself to get better by developing more skills. You must not wish it was easier you have to develope more skills and get better.

The only way to get better at something is to keep on doing it until you begin to get it right. Remember it's not all about sales talent but there has to be experience as well. Those who give up too easily are those who never get over the top and succeed.

If you are serious about being successful then you must have the mental strength to endure the rough times that you will undergo. I can give you some basic concepts on the whole recruiting method but when it comes down to it what matters is if you decide to stick around even through the struggles.

When you decide to recruit someone the worst way to do it is by approaching them with your business opportunity upfront. They will not pay attention to you and they will feel that all you care about is to sell them. This was the old school way of doing things years ago and sadly to say there are many network marketers still trying to do it today.

Only, the best and most savy saleman can do it (2% to 5%) today!

But, there is a much better way for the newbie. It's called a system and you need one to be successful in the new wave network marketing information age. A system that can create leads automatically, filter through and find the quality prospects worth spending time with. Plus, it must also pay you even if the majority of these lead don't join your primary MLM company.
