Choosing The Right Network Marketing Company

So you are looking for a home based business, where do you start?? The very first thing you need to think about is what company do I want to start my home based business with? Many consumers are looking for something other than a traditional work at home business. A lot required a great new concept and a lot of upfront capital that consumers are not will to shell out or take a chance on during this struggling economy. No need to worry though, there are still a lot of great options out there for consumers who either want to replace their income or to supplement their income.


Consumers have turned to a lot of direct selling or network marketing companies for their home based business. There are many reasons for that. Most of them do not require a large upfront investment and have products already set and ready for you. Many of them also have marketing steps in place where you just fall in to place. When you look at the "home party businesses" such as candle companies, housewares, make up companies they can be great for a small profit. They also usually require a very small set up fee. Usually anywhere from $50-$75. The thing about these companies they are a very small income return. You usually make the difference in what a product's price is and how much you sell it for. You also can have a hard time in the world we are now in of the "home party girl". I don't know about you but as a mom and just women and general how many home parties do you want to go to!! Do you want to be that girl that people avoid!:) It's not all bad though, if you are looking for a small income in just a little bit of extra time this may be the way to go. Plus a lot of stay at home moms do enjoy them because it gets them out of the house and they meet new people.


The next area of home based business I would like to talk about is the network marketing or social marketing as it's sometimes referred to now industy. In times of recession or economic downfall these areas seem to continue to boom. There are a lot of reasons that go in to this. The network marketing industry offers residual income that the home party businesses don't offer. What does residual income mean? It means you basically do the work once and continue to earn a portion of that income forever. You enroll one person and you continue to earn on that one person. A lot of the the leading network marketing companies already have a lot of business plans in place or marketing plans. Now with the network marketing industry there can be a bigger up front cost. Most range from $200-$500, but I have seen it be as high as $1000. Let me tell you now there is no reason to pay $1000 to start your home based business. Find something in the middle of the road and of course the compensation plan can be important too. Don't get wrapped in that too much though. Most of the leading companies in the industry do have some great comp plans but the products are very important. Don't EVER pick a company that has either one product or one product line. That limits a lot of the consumers out there because you may think this one product is the best thing under the sun but will everyone see that? Will everyone need that one product enough to make yourself a decent profit?


When I started looking for a home based business I did choose the network marketing industry. Now I will tell you up front that almost all of these companies in this day and age do offer you a website to drive orders from whether it's a home party business, make up business or network marketing. But be careful with that. If you are using a replicated website and marketing online that website is not going to look very original because remember you are not the only one marketing it.

So now you have some more information sit back and think about all of the different options that are out there, how much money you want to make, and how much money you want to put in to start up costs.
